Ground resistance measurement SmartERA

Grounding resistance measurement

At SmartERA our experts provide comprehensive grounding and soil resistivity services: on-site surveys, soil resistivity testing, grounding resistance measurements using earth electrode probes and appropriate instrumentation, and issuance of detailed measurement reports. Our services comply with the relevant standards and are tailored to the specific needs of your site.

Accurate. Reliable. Regulation-compliant grounding.

The grounding system is extremely important for the safe operation of industrial facilities, commercial premises and utilities. Our complete service includes on-site soil resistivity surveys, earth electrode probe measurements, design of protective grounding and lightning protection grounding, as well as design and documentation of EPH systems. Our engineers design and execute solutions tailored to your needs, then deliver measurement reports in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.

Grounding system design

Based on the characteristics of the building and site we design the optimal protective grounding and EPH system. We take into account expected shock protection requirements, the need for lightning protection grounding, and considerations for future expansions and inspections. Each of our designs is provided with detailed documentation and a measurement report.

Earth electrode probes and measurement methods

We apply the most appropriate measurement techniques: traditional earth electrode probe methods (fall-of-potential), and when necessary clamp-on measurements for high-voltage or hard-to-access systems. We evaluate on-site soil resistivity and grounding resistance results according to standards and provide recommendations for required interventions.

EPH system installation and measurement report

We undertake full installation of EPH (equipotential bonding) systems, connection of protective and lightning protection grounds, and perform grounding resistance measurements required at handover, including preparation of detailed measurement reports. All our installations are carried out in accordance with standards and safety regulations.

GROUNDING, SOIL RESISTIVITY AND LIGHTNING PROTECTION

A well-designed grounding system is not just the protective grounding components: soil resistivity, grounding resistance, lightning protection earths, and EPH connections together ensure personal and property protection. Our services cover on-site soil resistivity surveys, earth electrode probe measurements, instrument diagnostics, and delivery of comprehensive documentation and measurement reports.

On-site grounding resistance measurement service

We perform on-site grounding resistance measurements in accordance with applicable technical regulations. The measurements aim to verify compliance of protective and lightning protection grounds and to determine required upgrades and corrections. We prepare a detailed measurement report for every measurement.

Earth electrode probes and instrumented measurements

We work with known and calibrated measuring instruments: earth electrode probes, grounding resistance meters and clamp-on meters. The methods used include fall-of-potential and direct connection techniques, so we choose the most suitable procedure for each situation.

Protective grounding for industrial facilities

In industrial environments, when designing protective grounding we pay special attention to high-current equipment, minimizing grounding loops and managing DC earth faults. We design optimal grounding electrodes, recommend corrosion protection and maintenance measures, and provide the necessary measurement report.

Lightning protection grounding

When designing and inspecting lightning protection grounding we place special emphasis on equipotential bonding, correct connection of downconductors and lightning arrestors, and optimization of soil resistivity. We advise on refurbishment of existing systems and preparation of documentation compliant with regulations.

Soil resistivity and soil testing

With soil resistivity surveys we map soil layers and conductivity; this forms the basis for correct grounding electrode layout and recommendations to reduce soil resistivity. If needed, we provide chemical and mechanical recommendations for soil conditioning and corrosion protection.

EPH system and documentation

We offer design and installation of EPH (equipotential bonding) systems and prepare the associated technical documentation and measurement reports. Our service includes inspection of connections, bondings and electrical safety points, and preparation of maintenance recommendations.
