Data center audit

At Smart Era Consulting, we offer a comprehensive data center audit service: survey, technical inspection and a detailed report that helps improve operational reliability, capacity planning and energy efficiency.

Comprehensive data center audits – security, capacity, efficiency

As part of our data center audit service we examine the entire technical infrastructure: electrical systems, cooling, redundancy and operational practices. We conduct detailed on-site surveys, measurements and risk analysis, then provide practical recommendations for capacity planning, improving redundancy and increasing energy efficiency.

Data center audit — on-site survey and documentation

During our on-site surveys we assess the data center’s electrical and cooling capacity, rack and PDU allocation, cabling and backup power. Based on the documented condition, we propose short- and medium-term improvements, as well as measures to enhance compliance and safety.

Electrical audit

During the electrical audit we inspect power feeds, distribution and switchgear, protection settings and load distribution. Based on our measurements and circuit tests we precisely identify risks and recommend improvements for protective systems, switches and cabling.

Cooling audit

In the cooling audit we evaluate CRAC/CRAH systems, airflow and temperature distribution within halls. We carry out thermal measurements and hot aisle analysis, then prepare energy-efficiency recommendations to optimize cooling and reduce risks.

DATA CENTER AUDITS SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY

The data center audit is an integrated examination across multiple disciplines: electrical systems, cooling, redundancy, capacity planning and operational processes. Our aim is to deliver tailored, actionable recommendations that improve operational reliability and reduce operating costs.

Capacity audit

In our capacity audit we assess current and projected loads, feed-in options and scalability limits. We provide recommendations for scalable growth and cost-effective development scheduling so that the infrastructure meets future requirements.

Redundancy audit

The redundancy audit uncovers the actual redundancy of power, UPS and generator systems (e.g., N, N+1, 2N) and examines the effectiveness of failover processes. Our recommendations help minimize downtime risk and increase availability.

Operational audit

Our operational audit focuses on processes, monitoring and incident handling: we check monitoring systems, maintenance practices and playbooks to reduce risks from errors and improve service continuity.

Energy efficiency audit

Our energy efficiency audit aims to reduce operating costs: we produce analyses based on PUE, cooling efficiency and energy consumption patterns, and recommend practical steps to increase savings.

Monitoring, measurement and reporting

Accurate measurement and continuous monitoring are essential for effective data center operation. With integrated reports and monitoring solutions we support transparency of energy, cooling and load data, which forms the basis for capacity and energy-efficiency audits.

Electrical network and protection

In the electrical network and protection audit we examine connection capacity, distribution equipment and protection settings, and recommend necessary upgrades. It is important to us that recommendations comply with relevant technical regulations and future capacity expansion.
